6 Ways to Style a White Button Up

I feel like trying to find the perfect white button up shirt is a lot like trying to find your favorite pair of jeans, time consuming and difficult. I’ve tried several white button ups and always found something I didn’t like about them, until I recently found the BEST one from J.Crew Factory. The fit is very flattering but also very comfortable and is such a versatile piece. Today, I wanted to share 6 ways to style it, from casual to work wear.

This is such a typical work outfit for me- simple and chic. This is perfect for the fall or anytime of year if you work in a freezing cold office like I do. 🙂

This look is also perfect if you work in a more casual office and can wear jeans.

I’d say this look is an elevated casual outfit perfect for brunch or coffee date. This could also transition into fall with a pair of boots or booties!

This one is my absolute favorite way to style this button up. I’d wear this to dinner with my husband, or for a casual office look with a cute navy blazer!

10 Items 10 Spring Outfits for the Office

Hi friends! I don’t know about you but I’m so ready for sunshine and some warmer springtime weather. I love dressing for the cold, but it’s time to move on. Today I wanted to share 10 items that I’ll be wearing to the office this spring season. Most of the items that I am sharing are staple wardrobe pieces that will go with so much and last for years.

Black Jumpsuit

I feel like a black jumpsuit is such a staple piece to have in your wardrobe since it can be worn so many different ways. I ordered mine last year from Loft and it’s currently available online from Loft Outlet. The fit is very flattering and can be worn dressed up or down. I’m wearing a size 0P.

Sweater Blazer

The J.Crew Factory sweater blazers are by far some of my most worn work pieces in my wardrobe. I currently have the sweater blazer in three colors because I love them that much! They go on sale all the time online and are totally worth it. I wear size XXS.

Denim Jacket

My denim jacket is another item in my closet that has seen so much love over the years. I’ve had mine for about 7 years from American Eagle and it has held up so well. I personally like my denim jacket a little more fitted and not oversized, especially for when I wear mine to the office.

Black Skirt

A nice black skirt is such a must have for my work wardrobe. My favorite skirt is from J.Crew Factory. They don’t currently have the exact skirt that I am wearing, but they have one that is almost identical with a fun, feminine scallop hem. I wear a size 00.

Black and White Pants

Again, staples in my wardrobe for the office. All three pairs that I am sharing are still available and all fit so well for petites. I wear a size 00P in the black skinny pant, a size 2 short in the black bootcut pant and a size 2 extra short in the white jegging. White jeggings can be so hard to find and these are such a good pair.

Gingham Shirt and Pink Sweater

Pink has been my go-to color lately. It’s so fun and perfect for spring! Both of these shirts are currently available at J.Crew Factory and come in multiple colors (if pink isn’t your thing). 🙂 Any color could be switched out and work perfectly. I’m wearing a size XS in both shirts.

12 Ways to Wear Spanx Faux Leather Leggings

I’m sure you’ve heard of the much talked about Spanx faux leather leggings and how amazing they are. I promise the hype is so true! They are a bit pricey, but I completely believe they are an investment piece that you will wear over and over. You can catch them on sale on the Spanx website sometimes, too! When I received mine I was so excited, but I had no idea how to wear them. They were a bit tricky to style in the beginning, but I finally got it down and came up with 12 ways to wear them!

I shopped my closet for all of these looks, and some exact items are still available, but I’ve found similar options for the pieces that are no longer available.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Picks

This is my first year shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and I’m part excited and part anxious! I know it seems silly to be anxious about a sale, but it is my first year shopping the sale and shopping it as a new blogger. I am super excited though to hopefully pick up some awesome pieces for fall and winter! The sale is also the perfect time to start some holiday shopping! Because I am new to the sale I will have to wait until August 19th to shop. Below are the dates that the sale will be open for different level Nordstrom cardmembers.

We’ll see how the sale goes for me this year and maybe I’ll consider becoming a cardmember for next year. I just don’t like having credit cards…they tempt me too much 🙂 Here are my favorite picks for all different categories of the sale!

4 Ways to Wear All White

Recently, I discovered the best white jeggings ever from American Eagle. First of all, let me just say THANK YOU to American Eagle for coming out with an extra short length- it is truly going to be life changing for me! Most of the time the short sizes are still a little too long for my preference so the extra short is perfect for me and anyone 5’1 or under.

While trying out different ways to style them, I decided to pair them with a white top. I normally wouldn’t pair white on white but I’m so happy that I tried it. I’m obsessed with how it looks! Here are 4 ways that I styled them together….

I think this look is my favorite 🙂 I paired them here with this adorable puff sleeve top and pointed toe mules both from Target. I also can’t get enough of the puff sleeve trend!

This cream top is from Walmart and is not only cute but so affordable. It’s very flowy so it’ll be perfect for our soon to be very hot Louisiana summer.

This eyelet puff sleeve top is a girlie girl’s dream. I love the feminine details of the sleeves. I’m wearing a size XS and find that it does run a little small, so I would say go up one size.

This white top from the Loft Outlet is the perfect casual top that goes with anything. The material is slightly heathered and is very lightweight and comfortable. Another perfect top for the hot summers.

New Spring Outfits from Target

There are so many cute pieces right now at Target for Spring! I love Fall so much, but these adorable pieces have me so ready for some warmer weather.

This eyelet top is my favorite! It’s so feminine and the puffy sleeves give it an extra girly touch.

I also recently purchased this Tory Burch Fleming handbag as a 30th birthday present to myself! It’s a beautiful bag and the soft pink color makes it perfect to carry all throughout spring and summer.

This pink midi dress is the perfect dress for spring. It’s super flowy which makes it so so comfortable! It’s technically a midi dress, but on me it hits me right above my ankle- so it’s probably more of a midi/maxi for petite girls! I paired it with a pair of neutral wedges but would also work with a pair of sandals.

This next outfit is one of my favorites. The white top is so pretty and feminine with a soft texture and puffy sleeves. I’m loving the puffy sleeve trend right now! These paperbag shorts are such good pair of “dressier” shorts. They are so comfortable and the bow give them such a fun girly detail.

This headband is also such a favorite! I’m so happy headbands are back in style. They add such a nice girly touch to an outfit- especially this one with the pearls. I got this one in a pack of three (black, pink, beige) from Amazon.

4 Ways to Style a Leopard Midi Skirt

I’m not going to lie, when the midi skirt trend first started I was not interested. I thought they would only look good on taller girls, and would never work for petite girls.

I’m so happy I changed my mind because I LOVE midi skirts now! I didn’t realize how versatile they were, and that they can look good on petite girls (I’m 5’1)! This leopard midi skirt is from J.Crew Factory and is perfect for anything. Here are a few different ways to style it…
