I’m so excited to share my favorite drugstore makeup products! I started getting into makeup about 5 years ago after watching one Jaclyn Hill makeup tutorial on Youtube. That’s all it took- just one of her videos and I was obsessed. I struggled for a long time with feeling like I never looked like I was wearing makeup in photos when I definitely was. But once I started watching makeup tutorials and practicing, I finally felt so much better about how my makeup looked. There are plenty of makeup products that I love from Sephora, but you can still get a great look from products at the drugstore and they’re wayyyy cheaper. My favorite drugstore brands are L’Oreal, Wet n’ Wild, e.l.f., and Milani.
My skin type is super dry. The L’Oreal Infallible Pro Glow foundation has been my favorite foundation for years now. It’s lightweight and has a medium to full coverage with a natural, dewy finish. I love pairing it on top of the e.l.f. Poreless Putty Primer. It smooths out my skin and pores, and provides enough hydration to my dry skin. To apply my foundation, I love using either a Beautyblender or the M431 foundation brush from Morphe.
I actually don’t have a favorite concealer from the drugstore- if you have a favorite let me know! My under eyes are so dry that I’ve found the only concealer that works for me is the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. I set it with the Coty Airspun loose setting powder. Because my skin is so dry, I tend to only lightly set my under eyes and sometimes my T-zone.
My absolute favorite part of my makeup routine is bronzer! Both the Milani Baked Bronzer and the Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer are so good! The Milani bronzer is so pretty in the summer time for a nice glow and the Butter Bronzer is just a beautiful bronzer for everyday 🙂
I love a good highlighter and blush! My favorite highlights are the Wet n’ Wild Highlighting Powder in Blossom Glow, the e.l.f. Baked Highlighter in Moonlight Pearls and the Physician’s Formula Shimmer Brick in Natural Nude. I love that they give you a natural glow but can also be built up for a bright highlight. My favorite blush hands down is the Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso. This blush has been around forever and for good reason! It’s such a pretty pinky peachy blush with a little bit of a glow. Once all my face makeup is done I love to set everything with the L’Oreal Shake & Glow setting mist.
For my eyes, I usually keep it pretty natural for my day to day makeup. I love using the The Jaclyn Hill Palette by Morphe on top of the Milani eyeshadow primer. Just a tip for your primer- don’t set it with powder. I did this for so long and could never understand why my eyeshadow always looked choppy. This palette has the perfect mix of everyday natural shades with pops of color and deeper shades for fancier eye looks 🙂
The best products for my brows are the Covergirl Micro-Fine + Define brow pencil and the Rimmel Wonder’full Brow. The Wonder’full Brow is such a good dupe for the $24 Benefit Gimme Brow and the brow pencil is so easy to use, especially if you struggle with your brows. I love finishing off my eyes with the L.A Girl eyeliner on my waterline. I always use a light colored eyeliner to help make my eyes appear wider and more awake. For mascara, I love the L’Oreal Lash Paradise! It’s the best mascara I’ve found at the drugstore hands down.
Lastly, I finish off my whole makeup look with the NYX Butter Gloss in the shade Creme Brulee. They have a ton of other beautiful shades in the Butter Glosses. They’re super comfortable on the lips and not sticky.
Thank you so much for reading! 🙂
